Tennis Knox comprises of a group of the majority of tennis clubs that are within the boundaries of Knox Council. In 2013, these clubs got together concerned with the state of tennis and decided to proceed positively to try and raise the profile and memberships of our tennis clubs.  Our 2 promotional events provide an opportunity for the residents in Knox to view what we have on offer and perhaps begin being involved in the sport or come back to the sport. We see this as a win-win for the residents of Knox and our clubs.

'SPRING INTO TENNIS' is held around August or September and is a 'OPEN DAY' for everyone to visit our clubs and facilities and see what we have on offer.

'THE FESTIVAL OF TENNIS' is the larger of our 2 promotions, held after the 'Australian Open' it showcases our clubs and their available activities:

MID WEEK LADIES - WDTA & FTGLWTA Tennis Associations.
Mid Week Ladies competition still has the flavour of yesteryear with ladies sharing a game of tennis and a luncheon weekly.

NIGHT TENNIS – MENS, LADIES, MIXED, Doubles, Singles - WDTA & KDNTA Tennis Associations.
Night tennis has come a long way over the years with busy time poor players opting to play nights instead of traditional weekend tennis. Some clubs  play district competition while others provide an internal competition.

Enjoy a social hit of tennis at your local club. Coaching is available too.

Cardio tennis is a new innovative program developed by Tennis Australia that gives a cardio workout with tennis. In a group session there is upbeat music to motivate you, heart-rate monitors to check your fitness levels and calorie burn, and low compression balls to make striking the ball that much easier. This is a fun, tennis-based workout like no other!

Beginners: ANZ Tennis Hot Shots is just for kids. Smaller courts, lighter racquets and low-compression balls that don’t bounce too high make learning tennis fun and easy for primary school-aged children. This means that kids are able to start rallying and having fun right from their first lesson!
Squads: Just see how the kids can rally, hit and serve at a 10 & under level in a Hot Shot squad!
Leagues: Knox League has a new Hot Shot competition starting Term 4 – a feat not every council area has achieved! ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Leagues are the perfect way for kids to experience team tennis for the first time. There are two leagues that cater for players of different standards – the Orange Ball League and the Green Ball League

All clubs are working together for the benefit of tennis, a healthy family friendly sport for all ages, genders and abilities.
